Medical Student Rotations

STUDENT ADVISORY GROUP

The Student Advisory Group was started in 2020 to obtain insight and perspective from the students that are a large part of the target audience for many of the WCRGME marketing campaigns as we work to promote Rural Wisconsin Residency programs to medical students.

The Student Advisory Group is currently comprised of medical students representing six regional medical schools including Medical College of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, Medical College of Wisconsin - Central Wisconsin, Medical College of Wisconsin - Green Bay, University of Wisconsin WARM Program, University of Illinois College of Medicine- Rockford, and Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. This group meets via Zoom quarterly for an hour with the WCRGME team to provide insight on the medical student perspective for potential marketing campaigns, events and activities.

2024 Faculty Development Conference

During our 2024 Faculty Development Conference, we welcomed four of the students from the Medical Student Advisory Group to share on their experiences thus far in medical school and they were also able to share their perspective on what they are seeking in a Rural Residency Program.
