Rural Medical Education in Wisconsin

Wisconsin is recognized nationally for its high-quality rural medical education training opportunities which include the following:

  • Medical school programs including WARM and regional campuses

  • Rural GME training in a variety of specialty areas including both residencies and fellowships

  • Rotation sites at rural hospitals and clinics

Together these stakeholders work together to grow and strengthen training through the Wisconsin Collaborative for Rural GME (WCRGME).  Rurally focused experiences allow future physicians to explore how rewarding it is to practice medicine in an underserved or resource limited setting.  Below is a directory of training sites.
