Apply Now for DHS GME Residency Grants

From Linda McCart, Policy Chief, WI Dept. of Health Services:

On behalf of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, I am pleased to announce the release of the Request for Applications for DHS GME Residency Grants.  Residency grants support the addition of new positions to existing accredited GME programs in family medicine, general internal medicine, general surgery, pediatrics and psychiatry. The grant covers the length of the residency. The maximum amount per new position is $75,000 per year with a cap of three new positions per program per year.  The RFA is available at:

DHS will host a Question and Answer conference call for interested parties on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Questions or clarifications about requirements in the RFA should be submitted to me via email by or before June 21st.  The deadline for completed applications is August 3, 2017.  Please see the timeline for other important dates and times.

Organizations should note that DHS is continuing its policy of allowing current successful grantees to apply for a second round of funding.  A second change in this RFA encourages expansion of existing addiction medicine and addiction psychiatry fellowship programs.
